How Your LA County Settlement Payments Are Calculated
The LA Child Victims Act Settlement Program uses a point system to determine payments. Each claimant receives a Total Points Assignment, and those points are used to calculate the amount received during each payment cycle.
For Payment Cycle 1, the point value is $1,010.94 per point, before applicable deductions and reserves. That amount applies to Cycle 1 only. Future payment cycles will have their own point values, so multiplying $1,010.94 by five will not tell you the total value of your settlement.
